All of our Serenity Retreats help you shape a healthier, happier lifestyle. Whatever your goals, from relaxing to managing your weight, our Health Advisors guide you through your retreat, treatments, activities, mindset and nutritional approaches. Everything you choose can be modified as you go along so that your wellness journey is as gentle or rigorous as you want it to be.

Treatments

Wherever you are and wherever you want to be, we have more than 200 treatments to support your holistic wellbeing from a physical issue to de-stressing, better sleep and spiritual rejuvenation. You chose treatments from our extensive menu that includes Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine (TAIM) protocols, innovative technologies, nutritional consultations, sessions in the gym and energy therapies that calm your nervous system. We help guide your choices to suit your goals.

Activities

Enjoy our complimentary group activities that run from 7 AM to 8 PM. The daily timetable includes a variety of physical activities, both indoor classes and outdoor adventures that bring you close to nature. We also have talks, walks, craft and cooking classes, where you’ll get inspiration for your at-home menu. All activities are optional, you chose what you’d like to do.

Health Practitioners

Our Health Practitioners are the minds, hearts and hands that transform lives. We’re proud of the spectrum of expertise of our practitioners, from Unani doctors, expert in TAIM, to Naturopathic and Ayurveda practitioners, fitness experts, acupuncturists and specialists in many holistic and energy therapies. They join us from all over the world alongside our Visiting Consultants who share their specialisms with guests during specific calendar dates.

Wellness Cuisines

We passionately believe that eating well is the cornerstone of a long and happy life. We create gastronomical experiences where flavour and fresh produce marry nutritional healing and respect for Islamic superfoods such as olives, figs, honey and camel milk. At Serenity you enjoy exclusive all-day dining at Al Sidr and our tranquil Tea House. You’re also welcome at all dining outlets within the resort.

Retreats and Reconnect

Our unique two or five-day Discovery retreats are designed around every family member, focusing on experiences that bring you together to share, create and learn: a bonding connection to take back into your daily life. All retreats stress the importance of healthy eating from a young age. They blend experiences in Oasis of Discovery, our Family Wellness centre, plus joint and separate adult and child treatments and activities, so each family member has ‘me-time’. Retreats start with a Family Consultation to make schedules to suit everyone.

Treatments

We offer adult or child-focused versions for many of our treatments, such as stress-relieving Reiki, Cranial Sacral work, meditation styles and facials. You can enjoy others together, such as our mother-daughter beauty treatments. We have more than 200 treatments ranging from TAIM mind-body and herbal-based therapies, as well innovative technologies and holistic approaches to release tension, re-energise and re-balance for all the family.

Activities

Activities are divided into those that foster family connection in sports, creativity and nutrition and those that are age appropriate for each family member. Activities are both active and introspective and subtly encourage personal awareness. For example, Discovery Oasis, our Family Wellness centre, is themed round desert animals, such as the smart fox and far-seeing falcon, as metaphors for life-building skills.

Health Practitioners

Our Health Practitioners are the minds, hearts and hands that transform lives. Our family and child specialists bring experience in psychology, education, counselling and research. We also have medical doctors and practitioners in TAIM, Naturopathic Medicine, many holistic therapies and fitness experts. They join us from all over the world together with our Visiting Consultants who come during specific calendar dates.

The Zulal dining experience defines what it means to eat well for all ages, Our chefs blend taste with nutritional value to boost energy and cater for all dietary requirements, including some Islamic culinary superfoods. Our exclusive Qatar Suite with three bedrooms is a home-from-home residence with living and dining area and double doors opening onto your own garden with beach access, an infinity swimming pool, plunge pool and a wide view of the ocean from your expansive terrace. There’s also a hydrotherapy suite with a steam bath and sauna.

This very secluded Shinan Suite has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and separate dressing areas. The living and dining areas are decorated with cream textures and clean lines for added tranquility. This suite also offers its own sauna and swimming pool under a verandah, hidden from view.

We have 11 junior suites with terraces and private plunge pools and views through the trees over the Arabian Gulf. These very spacious rooms open out onto a private terrace with your own plunge pool. They all look over the lagoon and are situated in a tranquil area away from the main hub of the resort. The decor is calm, clean, and contemporary with artistic motifs that nod to our Arabian culture.

Discovery Family Deluxe Room

This choice for families combines two our of deluxe rooms with views over the resort’s lagoon. One room offers a king sized bed while the other has two twin beds. The rooms, which each have their own outdoor space, are joined by a connecting door.
