years.
- Named the 2003 Big East Defender of the Year and picked up two All-Big East First
Team honors in 2003 and 2004 as well as Second Team in 2002 - All-ACC performer in 2005 during the program’s first year in the league
- Twice earned NFHCA First Team All-America in 2004 and 2005 as well as Second Team in 2003
- Collected 18 goals and 23 assists for 59 points
- Helped lead BC to three NCAA Tournament appearances and a 2003 Big East Tournament Championship
- A two-time Team USA U-21 member in 2003 and 2004
A key piece of BC women’s soccer’s success in the 1980s, she played a major role in three NCAA Tournament appearances during her career.
- Four-year starter and team captain for the 1986 ECAC Champions
- A 1986 NSCAA Division I First Team All-American and a three-time Regional All- American from 1894 to 1986
- Part of the 1983 BC team that posted the program’s longest win streak
- Helped 1985 team to a NCAA Quarterfinals appearance

- Was a two-sport athlete also spending four years as a starter and senior captain on the softball team
The ultimate sixth man in one of the program’s most successful periods, he was a major contributor to BC men’s basketball’s sustained success of the 1980s.
- Helped BC to three NCAA Tournament appearances; including in 1983 as the Eagles advanced to the NCAA West Regional Semifinal with a win over Princeton
- In 1984, the team reached the postseason again, appearing in the second round of the NIT; a season before the expansion of the NCAA field
- As a senior, averaged 8.8 points as the Eagles earned an 11-seed, upsetting Texas Tech and Duke on the way to the 1985 Sweet 16
- Finished his career with 568 points, 192 rebounds, 115 assists and 87 steals
- Selected in the sixth round of the 1985 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers

Boston College men’s ice hockey's players record setter for career games with 169 during four years on the Heights.
- Defenseman totaled 70 points on seven goals and 63 assists
- A Hockey East All-Rookie Team honoree in 1998
- Capped his career as a member of the Eagles’ 2001 National Championship Team
- Drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins following his freshman season and went on to a 12- year NHL career; amassing 110 points in 783 games
- Won Stanley Cups with the Penguins in 2009, assisting on the winning goal of the finals’ game seven, and Los Angeles Kings in 2012
As a two-way threat on the diamond, she was a complete player on the Boston College softball team in the 1990s.
- Threw 57 complete games in her career, including a single-season record 23 in 1994 as a sophom*ore
- Went 42-28 in the circle for her career with 193 strikeouts and a 1.99 ERA
- Career ERA and career wins were both BC records at the time of graduatioN
- In the batter’s box, she hit .274 for her career with 73 runs, 62 RBI and five home runs
- As a senior, she hit .381, which is the fourth best single-season batting average in
program history

David P. Hasenfus '65, an esteemed honorary member of the Varsity Club, dedicated two decades as the Club Historian before being honored with the title of Historian Emeritus in 2021. His commitment extended beyond the Varsity Club, as he also managed the Hall of Fame Club for more than twenty years. In 1976, Hasenfus established and generously funded the Nathaniel J. Hasenfus Eagle of the Year Award in memory of his father, ensuring a lasting tribute to his legacy.
